My name is Hiromi. I am a Japanese.
Currently, I work as a study abroad coordinator at the University of Guanajuato.
I speak 日本語, English, and Español. I was born and raised in Japan, but I have never really believed or felt comfortable that I was a Japanese. So, after high school, I went to California to discover who I am.
After graduating from Soka University of America, I worked for one year in Japan. However, I found myself feeling really difficult to get used to the work environment.
Please read my first entry to find out more about me.
In this blog, I want to answer to questions like
"how I struggled to be a Japanese in Japan?"
"why I came to Mexico for work?"
"what does it mean to be international?"
etc..
I put my memories into words so that future me can read it and look back my beautiful days in Mexico. Also, as a study abroad coordinator, I want to give some chips to many of you to be "international" by getting immersed into new cultural settings.
Here I begin my trip to the world!
